Join the fun at Jr Puppy Class

Similar to our Puppy Class, our Jr Puppy Class is our open enrollment learn and play class for teenager puppies who are at least 16 weeks and no older than one year of age. Each week, we learn and practice obedience skills like like on-leash manners, off-leash recall, settling in a group, and paying attention around distractions and there is always time for off-leash playtime and socialization. With open enrollment, each class welcomes a different mix of people and dogs, so your Jr Puppy Pal will have the chance to practice learning alongside new human and dog friends each and every class.

How Jr Puppy Class is Different

Guided by Nikki Nordick a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and Behavior Consultant, our Jr Puppy Classes include both on-leash learning and off-leash playtime. To help keep this learning experience safe, low-stress and positive for everyone, this class is ideal for Jr Puppies who are comfortable around people and other dogs. This is not an ideal learning environment for dogs who may be reactive, or aggressive with dogs or humans. If you are unsure whether this group class is right fit for you and your dog, feel free to give us a call before registering. We are always happy to talk it through and help you find the best starting point for your Puppy Pal.

With our open or rolling enrollment registration, you are welcome to register and join Jr Puppy class at any time. Since this is not a structure week to week course like our Minding our Manners course, you can join us occasionally or for consecutive weeks and you’re going to get the same learn and play experience!

  • Individual classes are $32.50 plus GST

  • We ask that each family bring no more than two humans to each class.

  • Please bring a copy of your Jr Puppy’s Rabies vaccination to our first class together.

  • Jr Puppies 8 months and older should be spayed or neutered.

 Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What’s the difference between Jr Puppy and Minding Our Manners?
A: Jr Puppy is an open enrollment class, which means that both the people and the dogs attending can change each week. Minding Our Manners is an on-leash class where you stay with the same group of people and dogs for the entire five-week session. There is also off-leash playtime included in the Jr Puppy class.

Q: What vaccinations are required for Jr Puppy Class?
A: Jr Puppy Class is for social dogs 16 weeks to 1 year of age who have their Rabies vaccination. Please bring a copy of your Jr Puppies rabies vaccinations record to our first class together.

Q: How many Jr Puppies are in each class?
A: Each group class includes 4 to 8 Jr puppies of all sizes and breeds. Our training classroom is separate from our Dog Daycare, and we have lots of room to help everyone learn and play together.

Q: When can I start?
A: Whenever there is availability! Our open enrollment means you can join as soon as your Jr Puppy has their Rabies vaccination.

Q: Does my Jr Puppy need to be spayed/neutered?
A: Jr Puppies 8 months of age and older should be spayed/neutered to attend Jr Puppy class.
